I am well.

To be well—what does that really mean?

The dictionary might tell you it’s a state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy. And sure, that’s true. But I think “being well” is also deeply personal. It’s in the small, intentional choices we make each day. It’s in the rhythm of our routines, the quality of our rest, and the way we tend to ourselves and others.

So, what do you do to feel well?

Today, I started with something simple but important: I filled up my 5-gallon water jug and picked up groceries before yoga, so I wouldn’t feel rushed or scattered afterward. That choice alone helped me move through the rest of my day feeling grounded and taken care of.

I feel well when I go to bed before 10 p.m.

I feel well when I get at least seven hours of uninterrupted sleep.

I feel well when I move my body—at any capacity. Gone are the days where wellness meant pushing myself to exhaustion, asking, How hard can I kick my own ass today? These days, it’s more about sustainability and longevity—waking up without aches and pains, and knowing my body feels good enough to carry me through the life I love.

I feel well when I do little things that bring ease: washing my truck (a second home, really), preparing ahead so my future self feels supported, helping others where I can. There’s a sense of peace that comes with simple acts of responsibility and care.

I feel well when I spend time with my children.

(Okay… sometimes they make me unwell—haha—but most days, they’re my greatest source of joy and purpose.)

We all have different versions of wellness. It doesn’t have to look like green juice, a 5 a.m. workout, or a silent meditation retreat in the woods. It can be practical. It can be playful. It can be yours.

So let me ask again:

What do you do to feel well?
